Slimjet 10 continues to support XP and Vista

We have successfully migrated Slimjet to Chromium 50 and released Slimjet 10. Thanks to the tremendous efforts put together by the team, XP and vista continues to be supported by Slimjet 10. Java, Silverlight and other NPAPI plugins also continue to be supported.

  1. Thank you so much for this!
As someone who still uses Windows XP for most of my computing work, I’m very grateful.
I use Windows 8.1 too on the same machine, but I just prefer XP!
I was starting to despair after Vivaldi and Opera abandoned XP and Vista when Chromium 50 dropped support (although to be fair Opera have said they will still provide security patches for Opera 36 on XP and Vista) and what you’ve done just shows that they didn’t need to drop support at all!
I hope this remains the case with Slimjet, although I appreciate that it could well become increasingly difficult as Chromium continue to add non-compatible code.

  2. No need to install third-part plugins for browsing. Slimjet is awesome. For all from XP to 10. But the best thing is its support for XP and Vista, I hope it will never end. Who still uses XP works better and faster than using newer systems. Let them continue this! Don’t force users to migrate.

  3. I intend to Keep Windows XP indefinitely with its classic Explore, ease of use and speed, with 30 options I can do without and no longer available in Windows 7 Pro, the latter can’t even tell you the size of your folders or Recycle Bin how more ridiculous can it get, and its Windows Explore is lousy at best. So you guys better keep supporting Windows XP. thank you.
