Most of them don't know anything about computers.
Most of the time they have no idea what the difference is between a browser, a website or the internet.
So downloading and updating Slimjet is a chore I cannot burden them with.
Even the question "updating yes or no" is too much!
"Updating what? Why are you harassing me with questions, while I have no idea about the consequences? Leave me alone and just do what I want you to do!"
And they will always choose "no", because people are inclined to choose the default, when they don't know.
That's why I still install google chrome with it's automatic updating with tasks scheduler, which works perfectly, although I would prefer to install Slimjet ten times over.
Offcourse I understand why Slimjet doesn't like that kind of updating.
I turn of all automatic updating (of anything) as well and prefer to download and install by hand.
So I am not asking for a change in Slimjet, but maybe the authors could create the possibility of some kind of Scheduled Task, that will do automatic updating of Slimjet without the user knowing anything.
Only then I can install Slimjet on the computers of ignorant people.
Thanks for hearing me out

BTW I think "ignorant" in the english language has a bit of a negative tone to it, but that is not how it is intended.
I mean it just like "no or little knowledge about computers"
