Hi, forum. I'm trying to open RT ( Russia Today ) website but it won't open.

I'm still using Windows 7 Ultimate x64.

I just got into the front page, but only after uncharacteristically going through some CAPTCHAs typical of DDOS remediation.
Clicked a story and it failed to connect.

Tried using Opera (with VPN), total no go.
Tried using Firefox, it hangs on the DDOS remediation page then fails to load.
Some sort of DDOS attack on rt.com is in progress. It's not the browser.

Exactly like this, typed in the URL bar only. And it will still be slow to load.



No guarantee it will stay up, depending on the persistence of the DDOS attack.
If it's just a disgruntled individual or a criminal extortion attack from within Russia it will likely clear up soon.

Also double check what your DNS provider might be up to.

What I'm trying to open is the spanish version but curiously, I've been trying with other languages and they open without any problem. And also, I've been trying with other browsers like COMODO, VIVALDI and PALE MOON and they open it including the spanish version. Clearly, the problem is SlimJet.

Case closed. I just cleaned all the browsing data and voilà ! It's back again. Thanks anyway.
