LS,
Can I place the bookmarks in 1 vertical row?
There are +/- 25 bookmarks on the far left and I have to make the rest visible via the two arrows below.

Are you talking about the bookmarks bar, bookmarks panel, or bookmarks manager?
Whichever, I don't know of a way to present a smaller look except by organizing them in folders which I have already done.

I mean the bookmarks on the left, at the far left is a list, when I click on the double arrows below it the rest of the bookmarks appear on the right, eg with Firefox you have 1 row of bookmarks (A to Z).
