Is it possible (perhaps via a custom css file) to edit the line spacing in both the Bookmarks Manager and in the Bookmarks Side Panel? Any very specific step-by-step guidance (I am not a programmer) will be much appreciated.
I have disabled the "material design bookmarks" via slimjet://flags, and that helped ... but not a lot.

I don't think you can affect the bookmarks display with the bookmark file. You may want to try some of the bookmark extensions.
