Hello!
I've tryed to use slimjet and found a lot of udp packets to google adresses. My firewall blocked them.
I was really surprised that browser that positioning as "privacy" send so many info somewhere... (all ip are google)
Could anyone explain me why slimjet do so and how to turn off this "stool pigeon" style?

1. Double check that your not logged into a google account.
2. Open Settings, Scroll down to Privacy, there are several selections there if chosen, or in some cases not chosen, will result in calls going out, you can figure each of those out for yourself.
3. I am pretty sure the built in Translator feature uses a google server for translation, and it is fairly active even on pages that do not require translation, I have had the thought for some time now that a least half of the Translation activity is computed/processed server side rather than on the local computer which results in a lot of traffic between the google translation service and the local computer. This one I don't think you can turn off.

Mostly my replies are about Windows OS. If not I try to remember to specify Linux.

Ok
maybe experiment if you have not yet
Under Settings then Languages, uncheck offer to translate pages that aren't in a language you read
And
Under Settings then Language, click the link to "Manage languages", and down at the bottom uncheck Enable spell checking

Re: A lot of UDP packets to google
I found it!!!
It is google's protocol QUIC.
slimjet://net-internals/#quic
chrome://flags/#enable-quic
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/QUIC
Disabled it at chrome://flags/#enable-quic and firewall are happy)
