Hi there. I have been enjoying using the Slimjet browser for a few years with no problems at all. But when I updated to Version 18.0.5.0, I started having trouble with the Google Plus URL.....https://plus.google.com/. I have my browsers set up to open four links each time I open a browser (Chrome and Slimjet), Slimjet is "synced" with my Chrome settings, which has the URL address https://plus.google.com/ set up, but every time I now open Slimjet, instead of the URL address showing/working, it "automatically changes to the URL...https://plus.google.com/discover, and this now shows up inn my Slimjet Settings! I have changing the URL address back to the URL address https://plus.google.com/, but it keeps "defaulting" to https://plus.google.com/discover. I have tried changing the Password, but this doesn't work. I have cleared all cache/history/passwords, but this hasn't helped. I'm now at a loss as to what else I can try, and hope that maybe someone could help solve this problem.
Thanks in advance.
Problems With Google Plus Link
Re: Problems With Google Plus Link
Slimjet & Firefox both open to https://plus.google.com/discover for me when I enter https://plus.google.com/. Is Chrome really doing it different, perhaps the url changed

Re: Problems With Google Plus Link
for me, that same version....goes correctly to https://plus.google.com/ location. On the left sidebar there is a selection for "discover" that leads to /discover as it should.

I'm not certain as to what is going on in your case. But you may want to remove the URL history related to the .../discover URL.
If you type in the address bar the word plus, and then move your mouse pointer over to the far right of the address bar, click the down arrow just to the left of the Bookmark or Favorites Start, you will get a drop down of similar URLs to choose from, DO NOT left click, just move your mouse pointer down the list and each time you highlight a plus.google.com/discover URL Right Click and Delete. Of course, you can also choose to delete all from that right click menu as well.

Re: Problems With Google Plus Link
No luck with that here, still takes me to the /discover URL after erasing all google URLs. I'm on 18.0.5.0 with Linux Mint 18. Interesting that a google search for https://plus.google.com/ turns up only the /discover URL.oftentired wrote: ↑Sun May 13, 2018 4:14 pmI'm not certain as to what is going on in your case. Thanks for helping here. I have tried the above suggestion, but just like sleeper10 I am having the same problem, it keeps defaulting to the Discover page.

How are you doing this? I cannot duplicate the problem just by typing the URL into the address line. Perhaps there is something in how you have the links setup to open?

In the browser Settings scroll down to "On startup", then select "Open a specific page or set of pages" and put the URL links in manually. I have had the Slimjet set up like this since I started using the browser, his problem only started happening with the latest Slimjet version.oftentired wrote: ↑Mon May 14, 2018 6:27 pmHow are you doing this? Re: Problems With Google Plus Link
Facebook is one of the other websites in my list that opens when I start up Slimjet. I have just tried going to my Facebook Newsfeed, the URL address for that is https://www.facebook.com/?sk=h_chr. It directs me to the Log In Page. So I logged in and was directed to the Newsfeed page. I then shut down Slimjet, and opened it again and it opened to the Facebook Log In Page.

Mine is set to "Open the New Tab page" & I get the same results as you. Incognito & disabling extensions changes nothing for me. So, I'm stumped.lufbraguy wrote: ↑Tue May 15, 2018 6:22 amIn the browser Settings scroll down to "On startup", then select "Open a specific page or set of pages" and put the URL links in manually.
