17.0 Portable Version Dark Screen

Downloaded the new 17.0 64bit portable version this morning and the browser opens, but the screen shows no content .... no matter which site I type into the address window. Just a dark gray screen is shown. I will see what the 32bit looks like and if it does the same.

EDIT : Well I just found out one thing. The 17.0 version is listed as being available, but it is not being hosted yet as of this morning on the Slimjet page. I just downloaded the 32bit version and it is Version 16.0.9.0 .

EDIT: OK...so the 17.0 is not being hosted as of this Sunday morning. So, my dark gray screen was occurring in SJ 16.0.9.0 64bit version. The 32bit version works as expected.

Where did you download it from? I've not been notified by my Slimjet that an update is available, and I've not seen it on the Slimjet site.

The guys need to post the files somewhere when they say that it is available. And apparently they have not.

"What's New", didn't see that in your post.

You probably did "download it". But, it may not have hit the server yet when you did. It looks like he found a problem shortly after starting the release process and decided to hold it back to fix it instead of getting a bazzilion reports about a problem he already knows about. Leaving the info on What's New doesn't seem a big deal to me.

No. It was early and I was not fully awake. I downloaded the 16.0.9 version and thought that it was the 17.0. It has been months since I downloaded any Slimjet version as I use other browsers these days. But the 16.0.9 64bit portable is the one that opens up but will not show me any content. Just that gray screen in the window.
