Built in translator APK stops working if Block cross-domain

Post by Manoy121 »

Built in translator APK stops working if Block cross-domain HTTP referrer is enabled!

Tried to translate few pages or part text to English from various foreign languages using built in translation APK but this took too long and never finished or translated!

Then after bit of search around/experiment noticed that if Block cross-domain HTTP referrer is enabled under tracking options then this happens! Disabled and it works!

How can I use translator with Block cross-domain HTTP referrer enabled?
Is it a bug? Or how these 2 are linked? Please clarify & provide a solution for this.

Thanks in advance

Good sleuthing! There has to be a way for the developer to get this to work right, but it may involve some tricky work under the hood to divorce the translator from that security option. So it might take a while.

Mostly my replies are about Windows OS. If not I try to remember to specify Linux.
