How does Slimjet update?
Yes, simple as that. I am a new and so far very please Slimjet user. How does she update. Where is the updater and do we receive a notification anywhere? Thank you so much.

Welcome to the Slimjet forum.
Slimjet will notify you of updates. I think it is on by default. But, you can check and then set it to how you want it.
Run Slimjet
Click the Gear menu icon at the upper right of the window
scroll down and click Settings
in the Search box type "update" and mash Enter
You should now see the drop down selections for your local Slimjet to check for updates and an On Off blue switch to check for Beta
When an update is available a ribbon will drop down across the top of the browser asking you if you want to update now. I only tell it yes if I'm not in the middle of something because the next part happens, if you click update now it will download the update and then when downloaded it will install what it can while the program is running and then ask you if you want to restart the browser to complete the install. I prefer not to delay the restart which I think avoids a greater possibility of problems with the install. So I always restart it when it presents the question.
In previous versions there have from time to time been issues with a failure to notify of updates. If you think you might be missing an update you can manually check for updates by clicking the Gear menu icon, scrolling down and clicking Help center, scrolling down the sub-menu and clicking Check update.
If you still think your missing an update after that you can click the Gear menu icon, scrolling down and clicking Help center, scrolling down the sub-menu and clicking Product homepage, from the homepage you can navigate the links to double check the versions available.
