Solus is a great Linux distro but unfortunately, SJ is not yet on its official or third party repo.
Can someone coach me on how to install it anyway?
Anyone manage to install SJ on Solus?
Re: Anyone manage to install SJ on Solus?
Well this is weird.
Anyway, i finally got it going with installing Alacarte;
dowloaded Generic linux (SUSE, CentOS, Mint, Fedora, RHEL, Slackware, etc):
extracted file to same folder (download for me 'cause i'm not a Linux geek);
clicked on "superkey" for menu;
added a new item under internet as Slimjet with #flashpeak-slimjet
and then found and selected the respective icon to go with it and it works!
Was using latest beta 'cause it didn't seem to want to work with present stable.

Btw, SJ is so fast on Solus, Firefox 57 will not be needed.

I'm glad you got that worked out. I've not heard of Solus.
For those of you who wear aluminum foil hats, the voices lie, don't believe them!
Mostly my replies are about Windows OS. If not I try to remember to specify Linux.
64 Bit SJ on Win 11

Their default "flavor" is Budgie and they have been high up (presently 8th position) on http://distrowatch.com/ for some time now.
Very fast, nice and lightweight.
Ikey (the main dev) is very active (full time now) along with a few other in offering support to users.
Unfortunately, Slimjet is not in their default or third party repo.
