New Tab page has no settings icons

Whether I use the SJ new tab ("quick start") page or the default one, the page lacks the three icons for changing its settings. On another profile, the icons are there.

I have tried a few themes, and they don't solve the problem. I don't have any new tab extensions installed.

Still the best browser. Still little support. Sad. The competition is not sleeping.

Are you talking about the three icons in the upper right corner of the page that say, Web store, Customize, and Online community?

Yes, that's correct. The search box is missing also, but I don't care about that.

I think I've seen this one before on the forum. I'll look for it.

Edit, not having much luck finding anything. I'll keep looking as time permits.
