Ad blocker

Post by josegimcam »

I don´t now if this is a bug.
Visiting www.allmusic.com there comes a popup (attachment).
After disabling on this site, on entire domain and both, it gives the same popup and you cannot enter the site.
This is not happening in Opera 40.
Thanks.

This is not a bug. More and more sites are doing this. They are detecting adblocking software. So this it nothing unusual. Just because the site is working in Opera does not mean that it will not eventually detect an adblocker in Opera. I run Adblock Plus in Opera and that site just showed me the same box.

Ok. But the point is that the disable feature does not work. I´m to understand that independently disabling ad blocker the site still does not let you view the page?.
Thanks.

Ah, I see. A little too early in the morning here for me. :) I do not use the included adblocker in Slimjet. But I just went to the site in Slimjet and disabled Adblock Plus and gained entry.

I was just going to say that I disabled the ad blocker feature completely and still gives the same popup. I don´t have another ad blocker.
Thanks.

I did a test with FF private in which I have nothing installed (plugins or extensions) and gives the same popup apparently they want you to install a "free content extension".
If I try to enter with FF normal, I can.
I think this page does not want blocking or tracking anything.
Thanks anyway.

try https://github.com/reek/anti-adblock-killer as i don't get the pop up or use Adblock Warning Removal List
