Win32 SlimJet autoupdate broken since last v. 9.x

I am running the latest 32 bit portable version of SlimJet for Windows(10.0.4.0). I noticed since the last 9.x version the autoupdate does not pick up the fact there is a new version available. In fact I was surprised it worked since this hardly ever works with portable browsers. But once it did work then I became jaded. I hope whatever went wrong is remedied.

Just this morning I had to go to the web page to check the version. Sure enough a new one was there but I got no notice.

I just updated to the new release 10.0.6.0. Same problem. I had to go to slimjet.com to see if there was an update.

I've experienced the same issue on one laptop with a normal installation, but works fine for the other installations for other family members.

Up to version 12.0.4.0 and the issue persists. For grins I am going to change the setting to check at every program load. But I doubt it will make any difference.
