[Resolved] closes when clicking certain buttons on websites

Hi

I'm going to try my best to explain what's happening. When I was on a website, I wanted to Facebook share something, when I clicked on the FB button, Slimjet closed. A little popup window should appear where I can share it.

Then, I'm on a work related router program, where I have to give people internet usage in our business. As soon as I click on a button that should open a pop up window for me to continue, Slimjet shuts down. Is this a bug? How can I fix it?

I have had the same problem with 'pop-up links." They just crash Slimjet. I have made a settings change to see if opening pop ups in a new tab will help. Testing that now.

I have the same problem or one very similar. For instance, if I am reading an article, and I want to post it to Facebook, the instant I click on the "Share" button, Slimjet disappears, and I have to restart it. Of course, I also have to click on the "Restore" button in order to take up where I had left off. Right-clicking on the Share button does nothing constructive. Also, there are certain links on various pages that, when clicking on them, send Slimjet away. My only alternative is to copy the URL of an "offending" site and paste it into another browser. Sometimes, right-clicking works on certain sites.

I upgraded to Slimjet 7.0.5.0, but that changed nothing. The whole thing appears to be some kind of malware, but I am running Linux Ubuntu 15.10, so malware may be just a remote possibility. By the way, everything had been fine until one day this problem appeared out of the blue.

Hi all

I actually think I solved it myself. When I initially got Slimjet, on their website they have two options, either the .deb (which they say is for Ubuntu & Debian:) or .tar.xz (Other linux distributions (SUSE, CentOS, Mint, Fedora, RHEL, Slack) packages. I am on Linux...... I know Linux is Ubuntu and Debian based, but this .tar.xz threw me a bit cos it says Linux ..... so, I installed the .deb package and haven't had this problem since!!
