This is something that's been "tickling" me for a while.
Although it doesn't happen with all other themes, it is a recurring issue.
On this dark theme for example, you can see that bookmark letters don't show up much when bookmark toolbar is set to "autohide" mode:

Update: This is really weird!
Had installed two more extensions via G Chrome (dictionary and imTranslator) which SJ picked up in turn, and now... the bookmark letters are showing up!
I can't figure this one out 'cause this issue has been with me for ages!
Gonna try other themes and see if issue continues... to be continued for sure!
