What's New - Slimjet Version History aka Flashpeak Development Log

Version 4.0.14.0

• Make flash player updatable as an component (Visit chrome://components )
• Updated flash player to 18.0.0.209

If you don't want to have to remember or type out "chrome://components" just bookmark the page once you navigate to it the first time
For those of you who wear aluminum foil hats, the voices lie, don't believe them!
Mostly my replies are about Windows OS. If not I try to remember to specify Linux.

I still don't understand Slimjet's dual-Flash system.

slimjet://plugins cares about:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Slimjet\PepperFlash\pepflashplayer.dll

http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about (which, by extension, means all Web pages) cares about:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Slimjet\PepperFlash\pepflashplayer.dll

chrome://components cares about:
C:\Users\profilename\AppData\Local\Slimjet\User Data\PepperFlash

Why does the latter exist? Also, it does NOT update to the latest version. To test this, I deleted the contents of that PepperFlash and had the Components page do an update. It gave me 18.0.0.209 and not 18.0.0.232, which has been out for weeks. So, it's redundant (and apparently not the one used by sites), it doesn't actually update, and it's on a more-or-less hidden page that no one is going to find anyway (and so, the updating should be automatic).
