Password protected pdf
Password protected pdf
Hi everyone, some PDFs downloading with Slimjet are password protected and cannot be opened (I don't know what password I have to enter). If I download the same PDFs files with other browsers, I have no problem with password requests, and they open well. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Go to Settings
In the Privacy and Security section
• click on Site Settings
then in the Permissions section
• click on Additional Settings
scroll down a bit to Additional Content Settings
• click on PDF documents
This gives you a selection between always downloading or opening in the browser. Change this so that the browser always downloads PDF documents instead of opening them. Then you can open them using a program on your device.
The PDFium engine use by the Chromium browser engine which runs at the heart of Slimjet will then be bypassed and if there are any issues they will be from the PDF itself or from the PDF viewer your using on your PC.
