Suddely keeps crashing without any changes

Slimjet for Linux also has changed yesterday evening but the version number 40.0.5.0 was still retained. I downloaded this version a few days ago and could see this morning that the hash had changed.

I think it really is the same 40.0.5.0 version on the Linux download page. When I downloaded and installed a few minutes ago, it's still very much broken.

The developers should publish some information about this unprecedented problem with their browser, at least to let us know if it is going to be fixed soon. Or not.

I'm not sure the issue is entirely fixed with the 44.0.6.0 update. I'm no longer getting a crash but any tab I try will initially load correctly but then refresh after a few seconds and show a blank page.

I have no more crashes with version 40.0.6.0 too. Strange thing is that the release notes say the reason was an update for Windows 11 (fix crash after windows 11 update) and i´m using Windows 10 from 2021 without any updates.

Over which version did you install the new version (you mean 44.0.6 not 40.0.6., right?) Can I take the crashing 43.0.9.0 or 44.0.5.0 and overwrite it with the update, and this will fix it?

Sorry, yes of course i ment 44.0.6. It was to early and i didn´t have my coffee yet.

I always work with system backups, so i had 43.0.2.0 installed and downgraded to 42.0.3.0 yesterday to be able to surf without issues. That worked perfectly for me.
Today i restored my Win10 backup again and upgraded from 43.0.2.0 to 44.0.6.0 which also works without issues in my case.

I think you should be able and fine to update from every version you like. Slimjet is very tolerant in this regard. Learning by doing anyway.

Hi devs.

I just have seen changelog for 44.0.6 and it points out to "fix crash after windows 11 update", but this is simply not true (I'm on Windows 10 22H2 and have had Slimjet crashing, when it goes online - when start offline - with internet disconnected, it went fine)



Could You say about the real cause of 44.x.x and 43.x.x crash?

I had 44.0.6.0 (portabl, 32bit) open for a while now, also with both main profiles. My tabs seem to load okay


However the

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

problem still remains.

Since the big crash Slimjet (all versions) is the only browser that can not open this http://www.primepuzzle.com/leeslightest/maukie.html website. That's ridiculous! The site exists is up and running, Centbrowser can, Edge can, LibreWolf can, Pale Moon can, Slimjet always could, but no more. Any idea what can be behind this strange phenomenon?

Ja, ich bin auch zu kaum was gegkommen. Aber gut, daß es nicht nur bei mir aufgetreten ist.
