[Resolved] Slimjet 42.0.1.0 crash on youtube

Hi all,
since last night Italian time, Slimjet crashes when accessing YouTube and the ad-blocker is active. Can you verify the issue?

Apparently youtube has been making changes to defeat adblockers. If you turn your adblocker off youtube won't crash Slimjet. Then keep an eye out for a Slimjet update and test the waters afterward to see if that has been taken care of.

That is not the only solution. But I think it to be the easiest temporary one. You can use google and try to find another solution, temporary or not, that fits you better if this one is not to your liking.

Now I have disabled adblock on the domain youtube.com and also on google.com since I had crashes there too.
I will wait for a fix.

Oh. And this is not a real bug. It is more of a defensive attack from Youtube since they prefer people to see their advertising efforts instead of skipping over them. So, I'm moving this to the General forum.

Regardless of what youtube's servers are doing, Slimjet should not crash. I can understand if page elements aren't rending correctly or ad blocker is not effective. The browser should remain stable.

Youtube embeds into other websites, so it would mean disabling Adblocker all together. Which is a dealbreaker and I will be searching for browser if not fixed.

I tried rolling back to older version of Slimjet and it still crashes, so I might be an existing Bug that is now exposed.

After checking, the bug is indeed related to the adblocker, as this type of behavior (crash with adblocker) doesn't only occur on YouTube but also on other sites (e.g. SpreadShirt).
