I was just about ready to dive in with W11 - until I watched this:

Forget it. Same thing with Slimjet. If it doesn't want to work for me anymore, OK forget it.

Honestly, Windows 11 suits my needs. Windows 11 is, in my opinion, absolutely no worse than Windows ME (if you see what I'm referring to)

I'm back to using Slimjet 38.0.9.0 occasionally as it has some features that I like such as "search this forum". I'm still sticking with my W10, Mister Elecro, set up as W7 which I'm used to. If I went to W11 Slimjet might still not work anyway. Too bad that no one knows why I can't put a version newer than 38 on my W10 computer. Are there any security dangers using the old 38 version? I won't use it for anything sensitive like banking. Vivaldi continues as my main browser.

Give up Slimjet too as far as I'm concerned. I used it for years but I am unable to use it anymore. Anything newer than v. 38 downloads and installs, flashes instantaneously, and then disappears from my screen, and I don't know why.
I've given up on Flashpeak browsers. The newest incarnation repeatedly locks up in Windows 10, and the video downloader just doesn't operate like it did in the old days. Sorry Flashpeak, but I had to move on to Brave. I'll revisit it if it becomes productive again.

Same here. Even Slimjet v.38 and earlier no longer works on my (W10) computer now. Too bad as Slimjet used to be my main browser and it had some unique features. I too now use Brave as a secondary browser, the one mentioned above being my primary.

Which means it had nothing to do with this Windows 10 configuration story resembling Windows 7 at most
My mistake!
