Loving this browser, Just downloaded
Re: Help Slimjet Grow
Is there any plans to add gesture control support? Like swipe left to go to previous page and swipe right to go to forward one page? It's a very helpful feature for laptop users.

Any news from the Slimjet Facebook group?
Because it seems to have been sleeping for a little too long!

But there is motivation to learn another language. In general, I agree that it is not convenient. I found English help myself, I use https://ca.edubirdie.com/english-help for this. It is exactly such things that motivate me to learn languages. I often communicate with people on foreign forums. This is all for practice.JustJD82 wrote: ↑Thu Aug 18, 2022 3:47 pmdifficult site to use. its not English.

Re: Help Slimjet Grow
So I have been using SJ now for about 6 months and still a relatively new user . I have done some research on SJ and what could be found mostly on reddit is users like me new to SJ trying to get others opinions about the browser, first and foremost " IS it legit", and mostly what I found, by a simple search is mostly negative. I truly believe most of the negativity is unwarranted but none the less mostly negative. The negativity is mainly coming from individuals who have never even used the browser which I know you get a lot of those type of answers on reddit , well I never used it but it sucks and its malware use a real browser like IE..really. So what made most of those users come to that conclusion, the website. Most of the replies had never even heard of SJ and they go to to the website and in seconds make their professional assessment..malware. Now granted these are probably the same type of people who believe name brand stuff is top of the line and everything else is crap. So what is it about the site and I must admit when I first found SJ and went to the site I had reservation , the site looks like something from the 90s or one of those software sites that deal in shady software. So why am I posting this , I started reading this post from the beginning back in 2014 and now its 2024 and this post is as relevant today as it was back then, SlimJet who? let me check them out, nope looks shady a no go. Just look at some of the reddit posts about SJ and you will begin to understand what Im talking about, people actually do judge a book by its cover. You want to go main stream I would start with a make over of your landing pad, the other deterrent is the use of sudo to start the sandbox and that one Im still not sure about. The final nail in the coffin is where is the source code? if these three issues were addressed SJ would take off not like a jet but a rocket you might even need to change the name to looooooongBoy rocking-it.

Re: Help Slimjet Grow
My thought is that the most negative comments about Slimjet are written by people who understand that Slimjet can be better in competition with their beloved, other browsers. Therefore they are making all possible, to show and comment Slimjet in negative lights.hackenstacks wrote: ↑Tue Dec 24, 2024 10:16 amSo I have been using SJ now for about 6 months and still a relatively new user . As a longtime Slimjet user, I can say - this browser is far better than other similar (Chromium based) browsers.

Re: Help Slimjet Grow
A brand-new browser can quickly rise in popularity and reputation, provided it has marketing funds (the best example being the Arc browser). Unfortunately, this is not the case with Slimjet (which means that today it remains a “niche” browser with a low reputation).Rexxxon1 wrote: ↑Thu Dec 26, 2024 4:06 amMy thought is that the most negative comments about Slimjet are written by people who understand that Slimjet can be better in competition with their beloved, other browsers. Re: Help Slimjet Grow
By the way, I've got an idea to revitalize Slimjet's community section: create a subreddit about Slimjet (to replace the Facebook group, which is old and no longer really active). Maybe this will give Slimjet some credibility.hackenstacks wrote: ↑Tue Dec 24, 2024 10:16 amSo I have been using SJ now for about 6 months and still a relatively new user .
