Keeps crashing / extensions panel not reachable

As of yesterday Slimjet keeps frequently crashing no matter what I do. It happens on any website, even on the "new tab" with no website.

And I can no longer reach the extensions panel. When I click on "Erweiterungen verwalten" I am guided to the settings page. So there is no way any more to test whether any extension and which causes it.

AdwCleaner, Malwarebyres, Norton, Ccleaner find nothing. There were no changes made on my machine or programmes. The only thing I did was adding the kurzlinks.de extension, but I have already deleted it again - with no change in the behahiour.

I use Slimjet Portable.

run your Slimjet and open an Incognito window and close the normal window
test the incognito instance and see if the problem repeats

if the problem does not happen when using incognito then it may be an extension is causing problems

If it does not seem to be a problem with an extension perhaps try this

download a fresh portable installation
rename your current portable Slimjet folder to anything; just change the name of it
install the portable from the fresh download run the Slimjet from that new install folder
