Using KeePassXC?

I've tried to use the KeePassXC-Browser Chrome Extension in Slimjet but I didn't manage to make it work.
I followed the instructions here: https://keepassxc.org/docs/KeePassXC_Ge ... ntegration
but when I click the Connect button I get the following error:

KeePassXC-Browser has encountered an error:
Key exchange was not successful.

Yes I did reboot Slimjet and KeePassXC and unlocked my desktop KeePassXC database.
In KeePassXC desktop settings I enabled browser integration for Chromium and Google Chrome (considering Slimjet itself is not directly listed).

I'm on ZorinOS 16 with Slimjet 33.0.0.0.
KeePassXC (desktop) 2.6.6 + KeePassXC-Brower (extension) 1.7.11.

Am I missing something? Is it simply not supported?

It is extremely rare for the developer to make coding changes to satisfy the needs of an extension.

What do you mean? I've been using plenty of Chrome Extensions on Slimjet for years without any issue.
Is this one an exception because it needs to access a local desktop app? Or is it something else?
And so, is it already known that KeePassXC-Browser won't work on Slimjet and I cannot do anything to make it work (besides having someone develop a port/adapter/wrapper that would be currently missing)?
