I have same complaint, but my real complaint is I don't like the search tabs button feechur.
Brave now has it too, with the same issues.

That button in Brave is right at the end of the tab bar, not a centimetre over.

Just going to point out, this is not a programming bug. It is a feature.

It is a "feature" to have a small button waste 10 times its space for no reason? I don't get it.
