Thanks Passenger, finally got it working OK. After I reinstalled SJ, made the huge mistake of clicking sync to google. Google then reinstalled all the messed up bookmarks and I was unable to fix them. So I finally recovered a backup dated 9/29. Then I was able to disable the readers list. beep2222

Several days ago removed Slimjet because of the mess the Reading list made of my precious bookmarks.

I miss SJ and wish to reinstall. How can I configure it to be sure the reading list will not again screw up my bookmarks.

I knew about using address bar, but it slipped my mind. Anyhow Passenger I thank you for your time and effort. I solved my problem by removing SJ and replacing with Pale Moon.

Can I have link to chrome://bookmarks/ ? Thanks.

Passenger, would'nt it be easier to delete all bookmarks and start over? What is the easiest way to delete all bookmarks?

Thanks Passenger for reply. I followed your instructions and now I have Bookmarks with a blue star on left top of screen. I see no toggle to turn off Reading List. Most settings have to do with location of Bookmarks. What should I use to turn off Reading List? How can I cause bookmarks to move back ...

I have version 32.0.1.0 x64. My bookmarks have been changed and I can not locate ones I use everyday.

In which version did they hide current bookmarks? Can I revert to an earlier version? Or can bookmarks be fixed

Please help me before I must use FF.
