Bookmarks Ruined

I have version 32.0.1.0 x64. My bookmarks have been changed and I can not locate ones I use everyday.

In which version did they hide current bookmarks? Can I revert to an earlier version? Or can bookmarks be fixed

Please help me before I must use FF.

Somehow your settings got garbled, but likely your bookmarks are still there.

Go to settings and scroll down.

Thanks Passenger for reply. I followed your instructions and now I have Bookmarks with a blue star on left top of screen. I see no toggle to turn off Reading List. Most settings have to do with location of Bookmarks. What should I use to turn off Reading List? How can I cause bookmarks to move back as they were before they were moved to reading list?

I don't know exactly what you did, but to be on the safe side load all the pages in your reading list and save them as bookmarks one at a time, and then clear the reading list.

After that, if you really want the reading list to go away forever and not just hide it:

chrome://flags/



Requires a restart, so don't do this while you're deep in the middle of sometnig.

Passenger, would'nt it be easier to delete all bookmarks and start over? What is the easiest way to delete all bookmarks?

Before you do anything rash go here ...

chrome://bookmarks/

... and see what's there.

May you can rearrange things to your liking without zapping everything.

The two main folders should be "bookmarks bar" and "other bookmarks", plus whatever other folders you may have added.

I knew about using address bar, but it slipped my mind. Anyhow Passenger I thank you for your time and effort. I solved my problem by removing SJ and replacing with Pale Moon.
