Main Menu

You can click the main menu button at the top right corner of the browser window to access the main menu. Here is a brief explanation of the menu items. Some of the menu items are self-obvious and won't be explained.

• New tab
  Open a new tab in the current browser window.
• New window
  Open a new browser window.
• New incognito window
  Open a new window in which no browsing history or records will be kept.
• Restore tabs in last session
  Manually restore all the tabs that were open when you close Slimjet the last time.
• Bookmarks
• Recently visited sites
  Show the list of sites that were recently visited.
• Most frequently visited sites
  Shows the list of most frequently visited sites.
• Edit
• Zoom
  Click the + and - button to zoom in and zoom out. Click the button to switch the current browser window into full screen mode.
• Save page as
  Save the current page as a html file.
• Save screenshot
  Save a screenshot of the image of the current page.
• Capture screenshot of selected area
  Capture screenshot of selected area within the current page. The screenshot is either copied to clipboard or saved to a file.
• Find...
  Find keywords within the current page.
• Print...
  Print the current page. If you select "Save as pdf" in the destination settings, you can save the current page as a PDF file.
• Tools
  • Create application shortcuts
    Create shortcuts on desktop, start menu and/or taskbar for the current page. When you click the created shortcuts, the page will be opened in a separate window without tabs or toolbar, as if it's a standalone application.
  • Extensions
    Shows the list of installed extensions.
  • Install Adblock Plus Extension
    Install the adblock plus extension which automatically blocks ads on all the websites.
  • Task manager
    View all the running processes started by Slimjet in a task manager window. You can choose to kill a process using too much system resource in the task manager. This feature is for advanced users only.
  • Clear browsing data
    Clear browsing history, cached files, cookies, saved passwords, etc.
  • Encoding
    Allow to switch the encoding manually for the current page.
  • View source
    View the source code of the current page in a separate tab.
  • Developer tools
    Open the inspector
  • Javascript console
    Open the javascript console in the inspector.
  • Language file manager
    Open the language file manager (for translators only).
• History
  View the browser history
• Downloads
  View the list of download jobs
• Sign in to Slimjet
  Sign in to Slimjet with your gmail account. After that, all your data and settings will be synced online (QuickFill form files are currently not synced).
• Settings
  Open the settings page (slimjet://settings)
• Help
• Exit
  Close all the browser windows and exit Slimjet application.
