Page loading generates high CPU

Page loading generates high CPU, especially Gmail. It always takes 1-4 seconds before anything is clickable on a web page.
I have a Samsung 850 EVO SSD and a decent CPU.
edit: I just updated to 7040 and I still get the CPU spikes.-

new tabs consume so much CPU, it slows down other applications, and causes mouse-delays.

I have since a new computer and it's a bit better, however Slimjet still consumes too much CPU. From what I have noticed , if you have more than say 10 tabs open, browsing will be very slow.
I also agree about the "it slows down other applications, and causes mouse-delays"

skirboth, you mean too many tabs causes slowdown, even when they're NOT loading?
If so, that's a different issue. to keep things clear, i suggest you start a separate thread for that.
personally, i do not find any issue with keeping many tabs open.
only issue i see is the title of this thread.
thx
