Print screen closing on printing (better if user control)

For printing different parts of a site's page or document, it would be more helpful if the print screen didn't close immediately upon printing (all the more so when printing is not scalable). Or to put it a different way, let closure be in control of the user via the Escape key or a Close button. This comes into play especially when a site page takes up many print pages (e.g., this blog) and the user wants to print different parts but see the results first, or decides to print more after the initial print.
