6.0.4 Install Errors

Post by gseaborn »

I just tried to update to Slimjet 6.0.4 on Fedora 23 and continue to get errors whether I use Sudo or SU. I have downloaded the package for a second time, just in case the first time download was corrupt. The error I am getting is:

[root@localhost slimjet] # sh flashpeak-slimjet
flashpeak-slimjet: line 202: syntax error near unexpected token `>'
flashpeak-slimjet: line 202: `exec > >(exec cat)'

This appears to be an error in the script.

This was on: Fedora 23 (4.2.6-300.fc23.x86_64)
Linux version 4.2.6-300.fc23.x86_64 (mockbuild@bkernel02.phx2.fedoraproject.org) (gcc version 5.1.1 20150618 (Red Hat 5.1.1-4) (GCC) ) #1 SMP Tue Nov 10 19:32:21 UTC 2015

Thanks,
Greg

Can you try directly "flashpeak-slimjet" without adding "sh" before it?

flashpeak wrote:We've just identified an issue that Slimjet wasn't able to launch on Fedora 24. The problem was caused by an incompatible version of the libudev.so we shipped with the tar.xz archive of Slimjet. We have fixed the problem by updating the version of libudev.so to 1.6.4.

If you had trouble running Slimjet on Fedora, you are welcome to download the tar.xz archive again from our website.
