weather extension privacy

I was curious as to the privacy implications of using the weather button on the toolbar. If I set the location as my true location, is there any way a website could get this info, compromising my privacy, especially while using a VPN? I realize that for optimal privacy, I could easily just not set a location, but I do like having the weather on my toolbar.

The weather button is for your convenience only and i don't think any website can access that.

Slimjet will simply check your input location and show you weather forecasts. You need to manually store your location information for weather forecasts here - slimjet://settings/locationOptions

Slimjet take security very seriously. If you are using VPN and have disabled webRTC in Slimjet, you are absolutely fine.
