This is a problem that began in v37 and continues through at least v45:
If you use autohide on top, then most color schemes will not have bookmark name lettering that you can actually read. If you disable autohide then the problem is gone, so it purely relates to autohiding. For those who want to use autohide this problem severely restricts color choices.
