Beta Version (44.0.0.0) 64-bit Offline Installer keeps trying to install stable v43.0.7.0. This is getting old quickly. If you can correct it, thx.

This is a known pervasive problem. The Developer has excessive airspace between his ears
All laughing aside, I sent the Dev an email to let him know. Give him 12-ish hours in case he is busy with something.

Hello, after updating to Beta Version (44.0.0.0) it deletes the file (.manifest).
Possible to spread the message thank you.

This is a deliberate part of the installation process. It is replacing the previous Version & program files information kept in the manifest text file with a new manifest file.azazel2k10 wrote: ↑Sun Aug 18, 2024 12:10 amHello, after updating to Beta Version (44.0.0.0) it deletes the file (.manifest).

Re: Beta Version (44.0.0.0) trying to install stable v43.0.7.0
Thank you for the feedback, but I confirm that after updating to beta version 44.0.0.0 the *.manifest file and delete which when I restart the PC Slimjet does not want to launch.
I'm running the Portable x64 version.
I fixed the problem by taking the .Manifest file from version 47.0.8.0.
Manifest file that I changed like this:
Name : 126.0.6478.17.manifest
<assembly
xmlns='urn:schemas-microsoft-com:asm.v1' manifestVersion='1.0'>
<assemblyIdentity
name='126.0.6478.17'
version='126.0.6478.17'
type='win32'/>
<file name='chrome_elf.dll'/>
</assembly>
