Hi everyone! I'm new to Slimjet and I've been really enjoying it. Thank you for creating such a great browser! After using it for a few months, I have some suggestions and questions that I'd love to share.
1. Auto Reload Persistence After Restart
I have set the browser's startup option to "Continue where you left off." However, when I enable auto-reload for specific tabs, this setting is not preserved after restarting the browser. The auto reload function is disabled for those tabs. It would be greatly beneficial if the auto-reload feature could remember its settings across browser restarts.
One of the web browsers I currently use has an option to 'Auto reload background tabs only' which is a great feature. It automatically pauses the reload function when a tab is active or in focus. This would prevent any interruptions during user operations on the current tab, such as writing, reading, or interacting with content. Which ensure that users remain uninterrupted while working on their active tabs, while still benefiting from the convenience of auto reload for background tabs. I think it would be a great addition to Slimjet's auto-reload feature if you could implement this option. It would greatly enhance the overall user experience and make the browser even more convenient to use.
By implementing this enhancement, Slimjet could ensure that users remain uninterrupted while working on their active tabs, while still benefiting from the convenience of auto reload for background tabs.
2. New Tab Placement When Dragging Links
I have enabled the "Drag & drop text to search. Drag & drop link to open" option in the Misc settings. The "Place new tab from an existing tab at the end of all tabs" option in Tab Options is disabled. Currently, when I drag a link, it opens in a new tab at the end of the tab list. I believe it would be more user-friendly if the new tab opened adjacent to the current tab instead.
3. Opening Bookmarks, History, and "What's New" in New Tabs
When clicking on sites in the bookmarks, recently visited sites menu, or the "What's New" page after an update, the link opens in the current tab. Is there a setting or option that allows these links to open in a new tab by default? This would be a helpful improvement for maintaining my current browsing context.
Thank you in advance for your help!
