false crash on latest 43.0.5 version

i have win 11 and latest slimjet version available. Everything works fine, but sometimes on the new start, the browser reports that the last time it did not close properly and tries to send the log file. but this is a false warning because the browser was closed correctly and I didn't have any crashes
does anyone have news of this ?

Try this

go into the folder C:\Users\[USER]\AppData\Local\Slimjet\User Data\Crash Reports, see if there is a file named submit_dump.flag under it. If there is a such file, delete it and see if the problem goes away.

anyway this behavior is not normal, never had this problem with previous versions ...

I just opened the browser again and the problem come back. but i had deleted the submit_dump.flag file, as said in the previous post ....

This same issue cropped up in version 40.x.x.x. That suggestion I posted was sent to me by the developer. It didn't fix it then either. However, the next update and it went away. I think it is an elusive bug or problematic OS interaction he hasn't been able to find/pinpoint.

With version 43.x.x.x I have also been getting the notification that the browser didn't close normally and the option to open previous tabs.

I have no other suggestions. But, it is simple enough to click the notification away.
Also, isn't sending a logfile a windows feature where it is sending it to MS? I think you can tell the OS permanently not to do that.

about your speech from version 40.x i jumped from version 39.x (for win7) to 43.x (with my new pc with win11) so idk

anyway it is simple enough to click the notification away
yes right, i just wanted to know if it was an actual bug or just my issue

either way, it's not a big deal. hope it will be solved with future version

wow, i've find the bug: every time you open the extensions tab and then close the browser it causes a crash (and so files browser_1.dmp and submit_dump.flag are generated into Crash Reports folder)

I hope developer can patch this bug !
