After updating portable Slimjet to the newest version, the browser simply doesn't work at all.
After running the browser for first time after updating it, it doesn't load anything, even Setting or whatever.
Then, the message that is reported by many users:
"the application has failed to start because its side-by-side configuration is incorrect..."
Tell me what to do and how to fix this terrible issue.
I tried uninstalling and re-installing multiple times with the same results. Once I try to copy Used Data folder and paste it to the newly installed version, it shows errors (many files can not be copied, etc.)
I am writing this new topic after I installed 43.0.2 (not portable) version.
Tell me literally all the directories where my History, Bookmarks and passwords are located.

And I am still wondering why this huge problem is not even mentioned in this forum, at the same time a lot of reports about this issue.
What is happening?!?

I also use the portable version but I don't have any problems. Even some time ago I upgraded version 38 that I used with an old notebook with win 7 to the recent current version 43 and currently the latest version 43 07, updating only the application folder while the data folder has always remained the same and I have never had any problems. I believe there is something in your pc that isn't working, it's not slimjet fault

my Data folder is still the same, I only updated the browser version but everything works fine. anyway all data like Bookmarks, History, Login Data, Preferences are on Data\Slimjet\Default folder

What is happening again?!?
Both latest portable versions 44.0.2.0 and 44.0.3.0 are back to the same issue of 43.0.3.0 from June 2024.
