I updated my Slimjet to 43.0.1.0 and get this error:
Activation context generation failed for "<path to>\slimjet.exe". Dependent Assembly 122.0.6261.39,language="&#x2a;",type="win32",version="122.0.6261.39" could not be found. Please use sxstrace.exe for detailed diagnosis.

I also tested the latest portable Windows x64, I downloaded and extracted it, when I tried running it I got the same error as above. I suppose I'll try downgrading.

report submitted... I'm surprised if I'm the only one experiencing this issue while running Windows 10 x64

It appears beneficial to set the *.manifest file to read-only in the Slimjet main directory immediately after installation. :?: :!:

This issue was an obstacle in my studies. I needed to find a quick solution because I have to be the top student to qualify for a scholarship. On another forum, I encountered a statement about the high effectiveness of using an online tool to assist with homework. The site https://essays.edubirdie.com/homework-help was particularly praised as a reliable resource frequently used for various assignments. This recommendation underscores the value of dependable educational tools to support students in their studies.
thank you for advaice bro

in my case setting .manifest to read-only didn't change anything, but I finally got it working:
I unpacked the portable version on a different drive (same drive might be ok) and deleted its User Data. Then I made a symlink from the User Data folder from my old Slimjet to the new Slimjet and it's working now.
