Crashing on startup (edited) Debian Linux

Greetings; On Debian 10, I upgraded to v 39-0-3-0. Dpkg reported a successful install. However, when I start slimjet, it crashes on startup. On executing "flashpeak-slimjet" from the terminal, Debian returns three "Theme parsing error" messages, the last of which reads "Failed to get vkGetInstanceProcAddr pointer from ANGLE"
So, two questions:
(1) Is there a solution, or (if not) which earlier version is known to be stable?
(2) In case I need to remove slimjet and do a clean install: I copied the bookmarks file from ~/.config/slimjet/Default, but that file is not an html format. Can I import this file into a new install of slimjet ? Savng the bookmarks ('cause of work done earlier today) is most important. Many thanks for any help !!
