Netflix Throwing Error "M7121-1331"
Hello, For the past couple of days Netflix is now throwing the error "M7121-1331" Which from their site indicates that the device is no longer supported. I have tested with other browsers and all of them work.(Google Chrome, Edge, and Fire Fox) I have tried fully resetting as well as uninstalling and re-installing Slimjet. I am using Version 39.0.1.0 64-bit on Windows 11 I am unsure of what else to test or try and am hoping someone can give me guidance of what to troubleshoot. Thank you in advanced for your consideration.

Re: Netflix Throwing Error "M7121-1331"
me to
I fiddled around a bit and it stopped throwing the error and instead started logging me out.
Then I fiddled around some more and it went back to throwing the error without the log out.
Very annoying
I tried what I could think of with no success so I'm sorry I don't have suggestions on what to try.
I've reported it using Online feedback.

Mostly my replies are about Windows OS. If not I try to remember to specify Linux.

Thanks, I appreciate the confirmation. Hopefully it gets resolved quickly.
Re: Netflix Throwing Error "M7121-1331"
This is caused by a change on the side of Netflix. Based on what we've investigated so far, this affects all chromium-based browsers and hard to fix. Netflix decided to tighten their DRM standard so that it's compatible with Chrome only.

That sounds kind of strange, given that Slimjet identifies itself as Chrome in its user-agent.

Maybe the problem is not with the user-agent but with the files it embeds, maybe to validate DRM Netflix uses options that are only available on the Chrome browser (and therefore not available on Chromium browsers)Anonymosity wrote: ↑Fri Apr 28, 2023 2:31 pmThat sounds kind of strange, given that Slimjet identifies itself as Chrome in its user-agent.
P-S: My theory seems to be confirmed, see message below

Re: Netflix Throwing Error "M7121-1331"
We're getting the Netflix error too.
This is similar to what happened about a few yrs ago with FireFox ver 56. Netflix made changes and would no longer allow older versions to work. That's when we started using SJ for Netflix.
Now we're stuck with SJ ver 38 on our Win7Pro machines with no way to update to newer versions.
Might have to cancel Netflix for now. No way to update Chrome based browsers on Win7Pro machines past Chromium ver 109.
Hope there's a fix, Flashpeak.

FYI, Brave browser still works for Netflix. Installed B today and on first visit to Netflix it prompted to install Google's Wildvine and then it started streaming. The Chromium ver was 109.0.5414.119 64 bit, slightly newer than the ver SJ 38.02 is using.

I don't like switching browsers to watch Netflix so I downloaded the Netflix app from Microsoft Store. It works really great and very nice picture. Much better than in any browser. It works like you might expect, much like Amazon Prime viewer.
