I went to Settings/Security to uncheck the option "Disable reading from HTML5 cancas" but the option wasn't there at all. I have is Version 4.0.6.0 (based on Chromium 42.0.2311.90) which should be the latest. Attached is a screenshot.

Has this feature been removed or is it permanently disabled?

Having the same issue in 4.0.7.1 (64 Bit). Setting doesn't show up at all.

4.0.7.1. setting is peresnt but does not appear to do anything .
Version 4.0.7.1 (based on Chromium 42.0.2311.90)
setting to disable using html5 canvas is ticked.
