Cannot login to NYTimes (redirect problem?)

This issue was raised in 2018, but that thread is now locked, so ......... Login to the New York Times website (enter username, then pw) returns a blank page. No problem logging in via Firefox. Apparently there is an issue with redirect URLs, so I disabled the security settings. No improvement.
Can anyone help ?
