I'm here to report an annoying bug that prevents some sites from being added to the "New Tab" page

The bug consists in adding a site (ex : https://www.qwant.com/music) on the page "New Tab", after having validated the choice the navigator closes suddenly (for a reason which meappe) !

Here a list of some concerned sites:
-https://www.qwant.com/music
-https://www.qwantjunior.com
...
These sites have a common point, they use JavaScript libraries (jQuery or Core.js(/core-js)).
On my side, in some cases, it is impossible to put sites using these JavaScript libraries in the home page.

Sure enough pulled Slimjet down instantly.

what's your exact set up (see my sig for example)?

My configuration :

• Windows 10 version 21H1 (build 19043.1237)

• x64 Architecture PC

• Slimjet 32.0.2.0 (x86) (Native Ad Blocker Enbaled, No extensions)

Additional information: I can make it not do that by blocking all scripts, but then the pages themselves are no use.

But I think it is definitely established that it's a problem with the scripts being somehow incompatible with the way the New Tab Page displays the little thumbnails.

I'll experiment a little more later.

They really do read them.

I was thinking about the hypothesis of incompatible scripts and the way the page was getting the information, since on these types of sites there is a small interval between the complete loading of the page content and the display of the page, I think it is this interval that makes the browser crash.

I will send the report to the developer as soon as possible

I sent it at 20:36 GMT +1 (because in the developers it is 13:36 GMT -5)

I have been able to add some new links to the start page, but the newer ones have no images. They are just blank. They work to launch the pages, however.
