I love the concept of turbocharged download manager but this does not work reliably. most of the times, the download gets stuck at 80-90%.

I just tried downloading something with the current version, and it worked perfectly.

The developer cannot do anything to check this out if you do not provide at least one link. And better, multiple links to the problem downloads. Be aware the forum is limited to the number of actual working links you post. So just use something like slimjet.com and the www. is understood.
