Slimjet security level for xp users

I'm using Slimjet ver. 10xxxx, far away from the 18's latest version, since I'm still using windows xp pro sp3.
I wonder if it's necessary to install an add-on to enhance Slimjet security level.
I thought about "windows defender protection" (although I don't sure if it runs on xp platform),
or "360 internet protection" as a browser's component of "360 total security" which was already installed on my desktop.
Some would say that it might harm or lower Slimjet security functioning. Does it really so?
If it isn't the case and it's recommend to enhance the security level, I would like to have an opinion whether "360 internet protection" can keep security on a reasonable level or any others options.
Thanks in advance,
Noam
