Can not install Slimjet on Linux Mint 17 64bit

Can not install slimjet_amd64.tar.xz
on Linux Mint 17.2 64bit
please help how to install correctly!

(the slimjet_amd64.deb package is also not included)

Intel Core 2 processor, RAM 4GB

the deb package installer writes that the installation completed successfully,
But after that, you can not open the slimjet

Can you remove it and re-install following these instructions (changing version no. of course):
