Probably because I don't know Chrome (Firefox user here) I can't find a way to view stored cookies or deal with them selectively - protect some, clear others. As a for instance, I have some complicated website passwords and Slimbrowser doesn't remember them after restarts. It would be better to preserve the cookies for those sites. With Firefox I have an extension that gives 2 toolbar buttons, among others, COOKIES ON/OFF and CLEAR COOKIES.
Is there anything built-in I'm just not seeing? Maybe a Chrome extension that would help?

Thanks, yes, the stuff is buried in there. Meanwhile I went to the Chrome exts and found Vanilla Cookie Manager, which does about what I want but in a more up-front way.
