Slimjet on Debian - Repository and Preferences

Post by skwrl1973 »

Let me know if there's a better forum this type of post should go in.

I'm happy to have found SlimJet, and am working on getting comfortable using it on my various desktops.

On Debian Linux, I'm noticing two issues, and thought I'd check if I'm missing obvious solutions, if these are on the development radar, or any other feedback anyone has.

1) Any plans to create a repository for SlimJet?
2) The debian installer of SlimJet, and the internal-to-SlimJet "Set as default browser" option don't seem to properly integrate with Debian/Apt application preferences, to set SlimJet as the "WebBrowser" on the system.

I think 2) should be an easy enough manual configure (still looking into), but thought handling this more smoothly in the installer and/or ?Set as default browser" would be good.

Apologies if I'm off-base, love SlimJet so far, Thanks!
