Upon attempting to download certain youtube video/audio, I am presented with the following dialog:
When I click "Yes", the following download dialog appears:
When the download is complete, I get the following dialog telling me that "ffmpeg" failed to install:
I have attempted to manually download ffmpeg and place it's binary files in every conceiveable location in the Slimjet Program folder, to no avail. I have also fruitlessly searched Google high & low for other users who've encountered this problem.
I am running Slimjet on Windows XP SP3.

Slimjet uses Chrome extensions...you can't force SJ to do anything by placing files in folders...it has to be installed via an extension.
Using Slimjet go here and click the "Install in Chrome" button and see if it will do that...it may not work if using an old version of SJ.

This is a user discussion forum. If Flashpeak provided on demand support we would be paying for it.
I would try mashing the Alt key before starting the download to avoid using the turbocharged download.

Its actually some other issue (not ffmpeg); Slimjet's error message message is "Video Transcoder Not Installed"

If Slimjet doesn't have the staff to fix an annoying problem with a desirable 'Up front feature' that at has a complaint history spanning at least 3 years perhaps its time for Slimjet to remove the offer of this nonworking feature.
