Slimjet for Linux

Post by Bluflower »

Of late I have been using slimjet almost exclusively and I really like it - much better than the recent sluggish versions of Firefox. I have a dual-boot (Windows-Linux Mint) system and am wondering if there is a Slimjet browser for Linux. Any help /suggestions welcome.

Thank you oftentired. At first I did not see any link for Slimjet for Linux. Later When I tried in Linux Mint 17.3 (instead of Windows) I could find the link.
When I tried to open with GDebi Package Installer I got the messge saying "Only one software management tool is allowed to run at the same time - Please close the other application e.g. 'update manager', 'aptitude' or 'Synaptic' first." Nothing else was open actually. Instead of 'open', now I have downloaded and saved to desktop. I need some instruction/guidance to proceed to install that. Can anyone help me with that ? Thanks in advance.

Linux websites (Ubuntu, Mint) have instructions. Not difficult and it worked fine. I am able to use Slimjet in Linux_Mint OS.
